Gerald Matrix became absorbed in music while at York University, Toronto in 1988. There he acquired his first college radio show on CHRY 105.5 FM, called The Noise Factory. Throughout the years, he has continually followed a love for all types of music, amassing quite an anthology of sounds and bringing this collection to the people as host of several pioneering radio programs such as The Noise Factory (Industrial, Alternative, Techno, New Wave, New Beat) with Tony Rizzuto, 1988 93 on CHRY 105.5 FM, both Revolution Radio (Electronica, Techno) with DJ Iain & Nikki, 1997-98 and Blue Radio (Techno) brought to you buy Speed Records - with Jeremy P. Caulfield (Lotus), Adam Marshall, Sam & Bill, John Lickrish, & Alex G!, 1999 on Global Groove Network 100.7 FM, and Equinox Radio (Deep House, Techno, Electro), 1999-2002 on 1Groove.com & CIUT 89.5 FM - focusing exclusively on underground dance music and it's culture. Currently Gerald Matrix has resurrected Equinox Radio (Electronic Beats) on lelectrique at www.netmusique.com.
In conjunction with his on-air career, Gerald - Matrix has created a niche as a versatile and well-known DJ in Toronto, as well as across North America. Due to his extensive and eclectic record collection, as well as his love of many different genres of music, Gerald - Matrix can be found at various venues such as resident DJ of Poundhouse Afterhours (Deep House), Die Lux Mondays at the Bovine Sex Club (Electro, New Wave, Punk-Funk), and a vital member of the Pusher Crew (Eclectic Techno). Bringing 16 years of on-air and nightclub DJing experience, Gerald Matrix definitely knows how to move a crowd...anywhere!
