Julia Paonessa has made it her mission to strengthen and support Torontos techno and electronic music scene and re-introduce it to the world. Growing up in Windsor, Julia wasexposed to the rich musical culture and history of Detroitbut it was not until her stint at the University of Windsor, where she hosted and produced her own show on CJAM PurpleTrance, that she was exposed to electronic music. Moving to Toronto in 1996 she quickly became entrenched in the local dance music scene and in 2004 she formed Kick MagazineProductions.
