Since the year 2000, Canadian producer and expat Jake Fairley (A.K.A.Fairmont) has built an international reputation for his forward thinking andvery unique brand of music. From his early minimalistic work like "Cossack"on Dumb-Unit, to the brooding symphonic soundscapes of "Exploder" (Sender),through to his pop hits and rock althems, he has shown an astounding rangeof influences while retaining a very distinct style. In 2004 Jake releasedhis punk-infused, wall-of-distortion album, "Touch Not The Cat" whichbrought him from behind his gear and in front of the mic. Two years haspassed and we now find Jake stepping back from the spotlight with a focus ontwisting his sound rather than beer caps.
