Exposed from an early age and recieving formal education in music has made it a key part of DJ Groovestone's life. From Led Zeppelin and Rush to Beethoven and Bach, he has found an appreciation for all the different styles of music.

Putting down the instruments and finally making his way to DJ'ing, he started playing drum and bass at Club 254 where he maintained a Sunday night residency. After many sucessful nights, it was time for a reinvention of sound and he brought his residency to a close to get back in the studio.

Emerging to play in venues like Pur, Apothecary, and Kiwi Kick during the Ukranian Festival, DJ Groovestone found his new sound to be in Breaks. Always pushing himself and his sound, you can find dashes of Techno, Electro and House in his sets as well.

His style has been described as chilled, funky, epic and booty shakin' - everything that is Groovestone.
