If house music is a feeling then Iain MacPherson encapsulates if he was conceived, born and raised in Chicago's Music Box circa 1987. Somewhat surprisingly though Iain hails from the Scottish highland capital of Inverness. Starting out in this far-flung location hasn't prevented him from causing quite a stir, both as a DJ and producer, amongst house fraternities spanning three continents.In 1994 Iain gained his first DJ residency at Inverness' Flirt night. Here he would warm things up for guests such as Paper Recording's Miles Holloway & Elliot Eastwick. Mixing in such elevated company obviously had a positive effect on Iain's passion for the house and around this time he began producing his own tunes on his ever growing collection of 80s synths and magical boxes.1995 saw him move to the slightly larger Scottish city of Aberdeen, where Iain wasted no time securing some regular gigs. These included residencies at Joy where he played alongside Southport Weekender regular Billy Davidson and his production partner Austyn Davidson , as well as Bellisima where he opened for Wax and Westbound main-man Doc Martin (Los Angeles) and Hacienda resident Tom Wainwright.It was an introduction to the midlands of England by an old university friend that really kick-started Iain's musical career. Along with DJ residencies in Leicester at Nail That Noise, Bar Helsinki, and Po Na Na, he formed the Funky Transport collective with some like minded musical
