Sexy, sophisticated, and soulful -- are just three of the words that one might use to to describe the sultry and seductive sounds of DJ Filly. Although electronic music is her current mainstay, DJ Filly has been playing piano since she was three years-old. She relates that "classical music has definitely contributed to my appreciation and understanding of music ingeneral."

Making her 2004 debut in the urban music scene under the watchful eye of legendary Toronto DJ Carl Allen, DJ Filly emerges to create harmony from cacophony in a dance music industry already supersaturated with newcomers and wannabe trend-setters. In fact, many Torontonians have already had the pleasure - and indeed the privilege - of witnessing DJ Filly's prowess on the ones and twos. She made a cameo appearance on CKLN 88.1's Sunday afternoon mix show with Carl Allen. She has played at many venues in the GTA - including residencies at Hush (Deviant Saturdays) and Hot in the City (Revival).

DJ Filly started her journey as a DJ using purely vinyl; but, in keeping with the times, she now uses Serato's "Scratch Live" to produce her mixes, crediting Earl Charles (DJ LaZ-E) as being "the one who demonstrated Serato's power and flexibility," thusly taking her skills to a whole new level of perfection. When asked about what her most memorable DJing experience was, she refers to the annual women's networking event: "What Women Want!!! I would definitely consider that to be one of my most memorable DJing experiences to date. The feedback that I received was amazing. My what was supposed to be a four hour set ended up running for over five hours, without so much as one request! It was a beautiful afternoon. The vibes were great. The people were great. And I am just ecstatic to have participated in helping to create such a wonderful event."

DJ Filly stays spinning strictly the best in: soulful house, classic house, deep house, old school, R&B, hip-hop, breaks, disco, funk, and nu soul. Stay tuned!!!
