D.J. DAVID JAMES has been spinning at events and hosting functions since 1997. David has worked for and been a resident at Sky Bar, Berlin, Bahaus, Weave, I.V. Lounge, Cobalt, Granite Lounge, Insomnia, Sutra, Pravda Vodka Bar, and at multiple warehouse parties. David has also been a resident for several Showcase Cable film shoots. In particular Queer as Folk, and Soul Food. In 2006 David James played for OASIS while they were in Toronto. David has made several appearances in CKLN 88.1fm and CIUT. Currently David James a few times a monthly on Carl Allens legendary Sunday afternoon show Lounge and the After Party. David also has his own show on www. soulstreamnetworks.net.

Currently David is spinning and promoting a weekly night at Harlem in Toronto. The night is called Vertigo Wednesdays. This night centres around pushing Deep House, Garage, and Deep Techno into the future by fusing together new upcoming d.j's and producers along with veterans of the from the Toronto dance music industry. David is also hosting a bi-monthly party called DO YOU REMEMBER DISCO? This night features Toronto's dance music industry brick layers. Past events have included d.j's Mitch Winthrop, Gene King, Dino & Terry, and Groove Institute. Musically the night is about disco, pre-house classics, rare groove, and early electro. His next event is Scheduled for September 21st and will feature some more brick layers.

Musically David's sets span between deep house - garage - and deep techno. Depending on the night David can also drop some nu jazz, broken beat, and he doesn't forget the classics.
